One-year retune for ‘Salute’

Ed Danby and a team from Marine Results headed off to Newport, Rhode Island in August to carry out one year retune and service on the world’s tallest aluminium mast, that of 56m Salute. The inspection comes one year after Marine Results stepped the rig.  The annual service was provided according to the annual service recommendations of OYS (Ocean Yacht Systems) including their rod rigging recommendations.

Ed and fellow Marine Results Director Ben Wood carried out a work in a number of areas following observations and recommendations that they made while sailing on the yacht at the Spring 2013 St Barths Bucket. The work was carried out in conjunction with Perini Navi, the yard which built Salute.
