Oman Sail’s fleet of Farr 30s has been undergoing a makeover in the run up to the EFG Sailing Arabia – The Tour 2017 which gets underway at the Al Mouj Marina in Muscat on 14 February and finishes in Dubai on 1 March. Each yacht has been supplied a new standing rigging package from Marine Results on a very quick turnaround and within the original budget. The project is part of a constant service that Marine Results provides to Oman Sail, in support of their national initiative to promote sailing at national and international level for young people. The rigging spec is in accordance with the one design rules of the Farr 30/Mumm 30 class.
The Tour consists of a combination of three inshore races and six offshore legs totalling 760 miles which takes the international teams through some of the best Middle Eastern coastal scenery.
