Rigging specialists Marine Results have made a key new appointment to their management team. Ben Porteous joins the company as Project Manager, to take charge of planning and control of the major rig work and NDT (non-destructive testing) projects that the company’s teams carry out around the world.
Marine Results is responsible for rig servicing and repairs on many of the world’s largest cruising and racing superyachts. The company’s business has grown significantly in the past few years and Ben’s appointment reflects the diversity of the projects both geographically and technically which have increased in line with the company’s expansion.
With 15 years’ diverse experience in the marine industry Ben brings to Marine Results his superyacht rigging and management skills, including those gained as former project manager at Ocean Yacht Systems and prior to that at Berthon Boat Company Ltd. He has already worked on a number of Marine Results’ existing projects including Mirabella (now m5), and Salute.
Marine Results’ Director Ed Danby says of Ben’s appointment: “We are pleased to have Ben on board here at Marine Results. He will be central to the coordination of our teams to ensure we continue to supply rapid turnkey packages to our customer base as demand grows further on our resources internationally.”
