Christopher, at 46 metres (150’11″ft) in length, is a luxury ketch built by Pendennis Shipyard in the UK. Marine Results has looked after the yacht’s rigging requirements over a number of years and this season the company has just completed a full standing rigging service on board.
The main and mizzen mast were unstepped at Baltic Yachts in Finland and components were dismantled and inspected. Our team also carried out a service of the furlers, working with our rig partner Reckmann. The fittings were shipped to the Marine Results UK facility for servicing,where we used the expertise of our associate company International NDT to test all the high load fittings using Flourescent Water Washable Dye penetrant inspection methods. They were then returned to Finland.
The rigs were fully reassembled at the dockside before going back into the boat in April of this year, 2021. Our rigging specialists accompanied the crew on sail trials to check the installations before signing off the project.
