SY Asahi benefits from winter rig work

The beautiful Perini-built Asahi, formerly Riela is being given a full service in Palma by the Marine Results team.  The 56m/184ft ketch rigged yacht features a 58.3m (192ft) main mast and 47.97m (157ft) mizzen mast so the unstepping was a major operation.  The team had to wait for a number of days in mid-January before a weather window enabled the rigs to be lifted out of the yacht.  Marine Results went on to carry out a major mast, rigging and hydraulic service from the deck up.  The masts will be re-stepped in the summer ready for Asahi to go sailing again.
