Marine Results International is now an approved service supplier for RINA, adding the Italian classification society to its existing Lloyd’s Register approval. Marine Results is the only rigging company in the world approved by both leading classification societies, Lloyd’s Register & RINA, and the only one approved without restriction on vessel size or mast and rigging type.
Each society requires its classed sailing yachts to be surveyed only by an approved supplier for their periodic mast and rigging surveys. Holding approval from both means Marine Results can carry out the certified work that keeps a yacht in class under either society, covering a significant share of the world’s classed superyacht fleet.
Both approvals are unrestricted. Where some approved suppliers are limited to smaller vessels or a narrower scope of work, Marine Results is cleared to survey the full classed fleet, from the largest superyachts to the most complex modern rigs.
The RINA approval covers our mast and rigging survey and inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT) of standing rigging, and the load testing, inspection and certification of lifting equipment, including cranes and access rails.
Founded in Genoa in 1861, RINA is one of the world’s oldest and most respected classification societies, with a large share of the global superyacht fleet on its books and its own dedicated rules for the masting and rigging of sailing vessels.
The approval follows a technical assessment carried out by RINA at Pendennis Vilanova, one of the Mediterranean’s leading superyacht refit yards, where Marine Results demonstrated its competence in rigging inspection, maintenance and survey.
