The world’s tallest aluminium mast is back in its yacht. At 75 metres the towering mast was removed from the 56 metre Perini Navi sloop Salute by Marine Results earlier in the year after which the company carried out a rig inspection.
We unstepped the mast in La Spezia, and the Marine Results team worked alongside Luca Sandrelli of Perini’s mast division to complete the inspection on the mast and rigging systems.
The mast was finally put back in during August, after extensive service works had been done on the yacht. Once again Marine Results was working on a very tight turnaround. Sailing trials were carried out and the yacht was made ready in time for the owner’s holiday.
