Marine Results Ltd is headed by directors Ed Danby and Ben Wood. Each has worked for over 20 years in the marine industry, specialising in rig management from early in their careers.
The company takes a hands-on approach right from the top. As well as providing their own skills, Ben and Ed work with a network of specialists and can tailor a team to perfectly fulfil the requirement of an individual project.
| Ed Danby is a project manager with 24 years of continuous progression in high-level yacht racing and marine consultancy. Before setting up Marine Results Ed was the shore manager for the GBR America’s Cup Challenge 2003, which included all boat movements, commissioning, maintenance and logistics.
Ed was previously Project Manager for Royal & SunAlliance for the Jules Verne Trophy. Other high profile racing campaigns in which he played a key role included Team Group 4 for the Transat Jacques Vabre. Ed has completed two Whitbread Round the World Races, one of which was with the late Sir Peter Blake on board Lion New Zealand. |

He has competed in the America’s Cup no less than three times, and was part of the round the world speed record achievement aboard Enza, again with Peter Blake. In all these projects Ed has been involved in supervising the rigging programme.

| Ben Wood BSc is a specialist yacht rigging consultant with 20 years experience of rig, hydraulic and deck systems management. He was chief rigging technician for Prada during the America’s Cup campaigns of 2000 and 2003 and prior to that was a director of SK Rigging. Ben has worked with the technical teams of leading rig suppliers including Ocean Yacht Systems and Navtec where he spent time at their head office and assembly plant in the USA.
Previously Ben founded Tendaloft Rigging in Antigua. He has also built the rod rigging for a number of well known yachts including America’s Cup contender Il Moroand & for the first three Mirabellas. |

| Like Ed, Ben has sailed many thousands of miles and has skippered many yachts including the 50ft Blizzard and Oyster 55 Savage. Ben achieved the transatlantic 24 hour speed record in 2002 on board maxi catamaran Maiden II. |
